Most Selma clients schedule their pregnancy photoshoot between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is round and photogenic but you’re still comfortable and mobile. Choose from Maria’s studio collection of flowing maternity gowns, or bring an outfit of your own. Partners, siblings, and grandparents are always welcome to join the session.

Newborn Photography: Capturing the Days That Go by in a Blink
The first two weeks disappear in a haze of feedings, swaddles, and sleepy snuggles, and your newborn is already changing by the day. Professional newborn photography captures exactly how tiny and perfect your baby is right now, in newborn portraits you’ll look back on for the rest of your life.
Maria has photographed more than 1,000 babies, and your little one’s comfort and safety always come first. The studio stays warm and cozy, around 80 degrees, because sleepy babies make for the sweetest newborn portraits. Sessions run 2 to 4 hours, since we work on baby time, not clock time — feeding breaks, diaper changes, and snuggles are all part of the process.
Book your newborn session while you’re still pregnant so Maria can reserve a spot around your due date. The ideal window for newborn portraits is 6 to 14 days after birth, when babies are still sleepy and beautifully curled.
