She knows how to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, guide you through poses that come across as natural and flattering, and capture the real emotion of this time — the excitement, the anticipation, and the love that’s already there before your baby arrives.
The sweet spot for your pregnancy photoshoot is between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable and mobile. Maria has a gorgeous selection of flowing maternity gowns available in the studio, or bring something that feels like you. Partners, siblings, and grandparents are always welcome.

Newborn Photography: Those Tiny Details You Never Want to Forget
The first two weeks go by in a blur of feedings, swaddles, and sleepy snuggles, and before you know it, your newborn has already changed. Professional newborn photography captures exactly how small and perfect your baby is right now, in portraits you’ll look back on for the rest of your life.
Maria has photographed over 1,000 babies, and your little one’s safety and comfort are always the top priority. The studio is kept warm and cozy, around 80 degrees, because sleepy babies make for the most precious newborn portraits. Sessions run 2 to 4 hours, because we work on baby time, not clock time. Feeding breaks, diaper changes, and snuggles are all part of the process.
Book your newborn session while you’re still pregnant so Maria can hold a spot around your due date. The ideal window for newborn portraits is 6 to 14 days after birth, when babies are still delightfully sleepy and curly.
