Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Planning

The best time is between 28–34 weeks. Your bump will have that beautiful round shape, and you’ll likely still feel comfortable enough for a relaxed session. I always recommend booking during your second trimester so we can secure your ideal date.

Newborns photograph best between 6–14 days old — they’re still sleepy, snuggly, and easier to pose during that window. Since baby’s arrival can be unpredictable, I suggest booking during your second trimester (around 20–30 weeks). We’ll pencil in your due date and adjust once baby arrives.

Yes! Many of my families choose to book both sessions together, and some continue with milestone photos later on — sitter sessions, cake smashes, and beyond. Bundling sessions helps with planning, saves money, and lets us build a lasting relationship as your family grows.

Newborn Sessions

Just bring your baby, some extra milk or formula (if bottle feeding), a pacifier if you use one, and any keepsakes you’d like to include. I provide everything else — wraps, props, hats, and headbands — so you don’t need to worry about packing anything unless you want to.

That’s totally okay — I’ve photographed hundreds of newborns over the past 14 years, and I take a very calm, baby-led approach. We’ll go at their pace and allow plenty of time for breaks, feeding, and soothing.

Definitely. I love capturing the special bond between your family and the new baby. Including parents and siblings adds such beautiful meaning to the images.

Maternity Sessions

Yes! These sessions are about celebrating your growing family, and I always encourage partners and siblings to join in. It’s a wonderful way to document your family’s journey together.

Don’t worry — I’ll help guide you. I also have a curated client closet with beautiful gowns that you’re welcome to use. We’ll make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and radiant.

Session Details & Delivery

Maternity sessions typically last 60–90 minutes. Newborn sessions usually take 2–3 hours, giving us time for feeding, settling, and lots of snuggling.

You’ll receive your fully edited online gallery within 2–3 weeks after your session. You’ll be able to download your high-resolution images and order prints or albums right from the gallery.

All maternity and newborn sessions take place in my cozy, private San Antonio studio. It’s designed to be calm, comfortable, and stress-free for both parents and babies.
